You are looking at a hike we had just completed. Down the steep mountain face from the monastery to the village so we could catch a bus back to Lhasa. There was not much vehicle traffic to and from the monastery itself, so hike down we did, gear and all. After all, what had we come to Tibet to do? The way this monastery is perched on the mountain, and the whole setting of it was absolutely unique and breathtaking! A very special place of immense energy.
