There was an entire stretch of the gorge that was all graffitied up with mantras. These say the same thing, "Om Mani Padme Hum", which is the #1 most chanted mantra in Tibet. It means something like "All hail the jewel in the lotus." We found discarded paint cans under this bright one... one monks dirty little litter bug secret. We had to wonder who in the world painted them all the way up here.
