These were the largest vultures I have ever seen!! They easily stood 3 feet tall. And they were all over the place. Dozens and dozens. Their wing span was astonishing, and to see them take off in flight was...awesome! Some would make this blood curdling noise of aggression... a weird throaty clicky growly hissy whining noise... like the bad guys from the Dark Crystal and the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park combined. We were totally surrounded by them!!

Drigung Til Monastery... VULTURES!!!
These were the largest vultures I have ever seen!! They easily stood 3 feet tall. And they were all over the place. Dozens and dozens.
