Ganden Monastery... the ruins
A shot looking at my back as I walk back to the trail from the finger that the ruins were placed on. This finger jutted out from the main mountain, creating a high, steep precipice that these ruins were built out on. It was a commanding view of the river valley below, and due to the strategic position, it made me guess that these ruins might have been a fort of some sort. As we hung out inside the ruins, a huge dark mass of clouds had moved across several mountain ranges and was closing in on us very rapidly by the time we noticed. Looks like snow!! Time to head back...
