After a day visiting some local hot springs I was greeted with this sweet surprise! Hand made chocolates and cookies from a choclatier in town! My man ALWAYS comes through with birthday goodness! I spent the afternoon at Weisbaden Hot Springs, right in Ouray. There are a number of hot springs in this small valley, and this place had a large outdoor pool filled with natural flowing hot mineral water. It also featured a "Vapor Cave", which was really amazing and unique. They had built a small pool inside an underground cave on the premises, to contain the VERY hot water that emanates here. The cave was in it's natural state, and contained really spectacular mineral deposit formations, including stalagtites and stalagmites! So great to soak in that environment! A truly special birthday!
