The first event that evening was a relay race of sorts. Teams had already been decided and the game was this: several events had been chosen that represented the many difficult jobs that women can have. Upon completing each event, that woman had to tag another team member who could then move on to the next event. The events: 1. Scrubbing laundry. 2. Making a mixed drink (to the satisfaction of a judge) 3. Counting a tray full of loose change. 4. Getting 10 signatures on a petition 5. Sewing a button 6. Moving a pile of cinderblocks across a raised 2x4 while changing into and out of a pair of rubber work boots. It was an exciting race from start to finish!
One photo is the drink event, and the next is a girl racing off to get her petition signed.... seconds later that petition was in my hands!
