Good thing we were headed to some of the best Indian food I've personally ever had! These streets are toxic!! Between the dangerously high levels of air pollution and the thick, slimy layer of grime on the streets themselves, walking in Bangkok can leave your head spinning!! Mmmmmm.... oxygen anyone?

At Huan Phing Pou Guesthouse

On the morning we left Chiang Mai headed for Bangkok. This was a beautiful, brand new guesthouse. One of the more comfortable places I have stayed in Thailand! Also one of the most expensive, but it was pristine! Run by kind and friendly folks who made our stay all the more memorable!! Always sad to leave this fun and vibrant city. Each time I come here, I uncover a little more of it's interesting charm!

Neighborhood chedi

An old structure on the corner of our street in Chiang Mai. A chedi could be a number of different things. Usually they are built around a relic of, either Buddha himself (as legends say), or another, very holy and significant person. Typically housed inside a monastic complex, it is common to find very old Chedis scattered amongst modern buildings and neighborhoods in many towns in Thailand.

We all took a motorbike cruise over to Lamai Beach one afternoon, to visit a massage school on the beach! Life does not get any better!!!!

At the highest point on Koh Smaui. We were lucky enough to make it to the viewpoint restaurant right before this squall blew through! It was a beautiful doozy of a rainstorm!!
